Job Overview
The Outbound Team Lead manages the pick, pack, and dispatch process at Jumia's fulfillment center, ensuring packing materials are used efficiently, outbound KPIs are met, and orders are shipped accurately and on time, while leading and developing the outbound team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the usage of packing materials and ensure usage matches dispatched orders.
- Create and develop packaging guidelines for each category of items.
- Manage weekly cycle counts for packing materials, minimizing waste.
- Manage same-day delivery coordination with the inventory team to ensure 100% of orders are shipped.
- Plan capacity in line with weekly volume projections and manage the projection, utilization, and storage of packaging materials.
- Confirm all shipping and picking deadlines and priority cut-off times are consistently met.
- Achieve 100% of outbound KPIs; monitor KPIs to track success and recurring problems.
